The BOSC supervises and leads all assigned site Office Steward/Housekeeping staff. He/she shall be well-versed in etiquette and serving and have a thorough understanding of formal facilities care. It is the BOSC's job to ensure delivery of high-quality cleaning standard in their designated office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized service to client, tailor-fitted to their needs and preferences.
- Anticipate client and its guest needs by learning their preferences, allergies, dislikes, etc.
- Able to prepare basic to formal table-setting.
- Conduct regular assessment of individual and team performance and report it to the OIC.
- Report all maintenance and other issues (theft, loss, etc.) and follow up with the Admin for progress.
- Perform various housekeeping duties, often changing from one task to another and still meeting deadlines and established timeframes.
- Do a Receptionist and Office Steward/Housekeeping Attendant tasks when needed.
- Manage client requests including VIP amenities, setup, and communicate them to relevant team members.
- Do a monthly inventory and maintain ace check of all housekeeping/stewarding items.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the team.
- Delegate tasks and motivate the team members to achieve organizational goals.
- Train the team members to improve their communication, confidence, product knowledge, and other skills needed.
- Supervise and perform routine inspections in the site/office facility.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
- Implement the grooming and hygiene standards to all staff.
- Prepare and distribute assignment worksheets to designated team members and review priorities.
- Develop and implement a timeline to achieve the targets.
- Check occupied and used conference and meeting rooms, giving special attention to details.
- Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving, not leaving any area dirty and not ready for use.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Mandarin-oral and written
- 10 years of solid work experience in the top 10 companies belonging in the leisure or hospitality industry as a housekeeping personnel
- Has prior experience in managing a group of housekeeping personnel (10-20 staff)
- Physical mobility and stamina required
- Detail-oriented and observant
- Has the ability to follow and give clear instructions
- Can work independently
- Should be able to initiate a positive impact and adapt to changes within the working schedule
- Able to lead a team consistently and productively
- Should be trustworthy and possess a positive attitude to work with other facility staff and maintain good relationships
